Parvaptera
Parvaptera
The Parvaptera (pronounced par-vuh-TEHR-ah) are a race of humanoid bats that live colonies within deep, intricate caverns during the day before flying off to hunt and gather at night. They come in all different shapes and sizes, and speak in high pitched, airy squeaks and screeches. Through telepathy, however, they can clearly convey their thoughts and emotions and carry on long conversations. They are highly social, and crave to be around others. Their culture is based around expressing ideas, and they have done so through art, stories and other crafts (including clothing made from pelts of their predators). They have superb echolocation skills, and are learning the ways of magick alongside humans! In fact, communication with spirits is their collective strong suit.
