Inscivorae are a proud, strong Kirin race that shares common ancestry but are not Japanese Kirins. They share the same branch like horns, and do have scaling on the flank, but they do not possess draconic features nor do they float . These Kirins are omnivorous and unlike their ancestors do occasionally partake in meat. There are several variations of Inscivorae types based upon region however there are only a few types that are willing to make themselves known; Mountain, Forest, and Taiga.

Mountains are built a lot like Ibex rams or mountain goats, in that they are comparatively smaller than the rest of their species standing only around 5 and a half feet at the shoulders but with strong legs and not cloven but pointed hooves that allow them to grip and jump along their rocky homes on almost impossible angles. They share a similar body build to a Noriker Horse. They are generally as a group curious yet reserved and mild natured.

Forests are more akin to the western depiction of a unicorn, more thoroughbred features, slim backs , long necks and round hooves. These are the more social Kirins, but in an almost curious and distant way. If one was to go to their realm they’d have the highest chance of seeing one in their natural habitat and they may even stop and stare however to engage in conversation or play is not common.

Taiga are stockier and have thicker fur then Forests, mainly around the collar but instead of a singular mane around the chest/neck the entirety of the neck is thicker furred. These Kirin are more solitary in personality, and herds are rare among them. They have a similar body type to the forests and have cloven hooves.

Each Kirin when approached by Shattered Prism presents what is commonly known as a Welcome/Greeting Wreath, which is an item made from the plant life of their Glade. It's a symbolic item given as a means of identification of the individual as a Kirin and what their Glade consists of.
What is a Glade? Like a dragon's hoard a Glade is the area of land that the unicorn has marked/ stamped/ dubbed their own . They basically use their soul to mark that property as theirs. People may also be marked as a Glade BUT that is more of a soul bond/lovers/soulmate deal and not thoughtlessly done.
